Total Merchant Services (TMS) has provided the following information and self-assessment questionnaires in order to assist clients in becoming and maintaining PCI compliance. Please read the letter below, emailed to all merchants, for more details.
PCI Compliance Requirements - Letter dated May 7, 2014
As you know, Target was recently breached and millions of credit card numbers were compromised. It’s as though every day we read about another company facing a PCI or security breach. There is no doubt that credit card security and compliance is a hot topic on Capitol Hill. Our banks and processors are being scrutinized at every level, as your merchant services provider, it is important that we exemplify leadership on this issue. In previous years being PCI compliant was a recommendation and now it is mandatory.
A key requirement under PCI is to complete an annual Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) attesting your compliance. We have created three quick and easy solutions to assist you in completing your annual SAQ. Use the solution that works best for you:

Important timeline considerations:
- If your account was approved before 3/1/14 you have 60 days to complete your SAQ (due 7/7/2014).
- If your account was opened after 3/1/14 you have 90 days to complete your SAQ (due 8/7/2014).
If you do not take action, you will be assessed a monthly non-compliance fee of $19.95 until your SAQ is completed.
As your credit card processor and advocate, we prefer not to pass this non-compliance fee on to you and we are here to help you complete your SAQ today. You do not have to incur this fee if you take immediate action.
